Taking back my love review

Enrique Iglesias ft Ciara- Taking back my love
Album- Greatest Hits
Release date- 11 November 2008
Record Label- Interscope

Taking back my love is Enrique’s second single from the Album Greatest Hits. Altogether the album has 23 tracks and features Whitney Houston, Kelis and Ciara. The song was produced by Red One and the music video directed by Ray Kay. It’s reached the top ten in numerous countries. With approximately 37million views on Youtube.

Personally, I love the song but I love the video even more. It’s so dramatic, both Ciara and Enrique are arguing, throwing things around there LA apartment and then towards the end of the video they make up. The lyrics are strong and meaningful as they stress on the heartbreak! ‘I give it all up, I’m taking back my love.’

My favourite part of the video has to be when Ciara throws paint all over Enrique’s car. It shows that she must have been really vexed with him to have to done that.

If you compare this video to Ciara’s previous videos such as ‘Like a boy’ or ‘Like you’ her look in this video is hot, it seems really calm, almost to calm. She’s becoming more and more feminine as they days go by –which is a fab thing.

I think it song suits Enrique really well cause he seems as an emotional guy- we can prove this by his previous songs in the past. He always touches the same topics. Maybe he should be a bit more manly and pick a gangster tune next time!! Just kidding- he’s one of a kind and really good at what he does.. It can be hard for male artists to act emotions the way he does. And as always Enrique’s looking extremely hot, which is nothing new!!

I hope that in the future Ciara and Enrique do more collaboration together as their chemistry is looking good to me. They really do look like a perfect couple together.
